Into the Storm: My First-Hand Account of the Destroyermen Series

I’ve always been fascinated by the story of the “Destroyermen,” the brave sailors who served on the U.S. Navy’s destroyers during World War II. These men faced incredible dangers on a daily basis, but they never gave up. They fought for their country, and they fought for each other.

In my new book, “Destroyermen: Into the Storm,” I tell the story of these remarkable men. I follow them from the early days of the war, when they were sent to the Pacific to fight against the Japanese, to the later years of the war, when they were involved in some of the most important battles of the conflict.

I’ve interviewed dozens of Destroyermen for this book, and I’ve learned a lot about their courage, their resilience, and their dedication. I’ve also learned a lot about the war itself, and about the sacrifices that were made by so many people.

I hope that “Destroyermen: Into the Storm” will help to bring these men’s stories to a wider audience. They deserve to be remembered for their service, and their stories deserve to be told.
