G.I. Joe Classified Spirit: A Return to Excellence

As a child of the ’80s, I grew up with G.I. Joe. I had the action figures, the vehicles, and the cartoons. I loved the idea of being a soldier and fighting for what’s right. When G.I. Joe was revived in the early 2000s, I was excited to see my favorite characters back in action. However, the new toys and cartoons just didn’t do it for me. They felt like a cheap imitation of the original.

But then, in 2020, Hasbro released G.I. Joe Classified. This new line of toys was a return to form for the franchise. The figures were well-made and articulated, and the designs were faithful to the originals. The cartoons were also excellent, capturing the spirit of the ’80s cartoons while still being modern and relevant.

G.I. Joe Classified is a reminder that even after 40 years, the G.I. Joe franchise can still be great. It’s a return to excellence, and it’s a line of toys that I’m proud to collect.
