How I Went From Dog Grandma to Human Grandma (And Why It’s the Best Thing Ever)

I’ve been a dog grandparent for many years, but now that I’m a human grandparent, I’m learning that there are a lot of similarities and differences between the two roles.

As a dog grandparent, I loved spoiling my furry grandchildren and watching them grow up. I was there for all the milestones, from their first steps to their first words. I was also there to provide comfort and support when they were sick or scared.

Now that I’m a human grandparent, I’m experiencing all of those same joys and challenges, but on a different level. My human grandchildren are still young, but I’m already seeing their personalities develop and their interests emerge. I’m excited to watch them grow and learn, and I’m grateful to be a part of their lives.

Of course, being a human grandparent is also more challenging than being a dog grandparent. The responsibilities are greater, and the stakes are higher. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Being a grandparent is one of the greatest joys in life, and I’m so lucky to have this opportunity.
